The StarCraft 2 Campaign Ravil Wants to Play - Mission 7b: "Die for the Swarm"

One change I'd probably do is not have another cerebrate outside of the one you captured, as I take it he was the one used during Brood War and thus should be the last cerebrate left (though canonically Kerrigan killed him as well when she was done). Unless he's actually important to the plot or something. Also to actually make this you would actually need some sort of art persons [NT]

No cerebrate art anywhere in SC2. I'm not sure if the conversion to non-cerebrates is ever really delved into anywhere, but I know canonically there basically aren't any left. My guess would be things like the Queens/Overlords got promoted given that the Overlord is the default Zerg portrait on buildings. *shrug* [NT]

I assumed Kerrigan assumed that role? What'd be neat is if it turned out to be some plain old ordinary Terran pulling the Zerg strings. [NT]

Well, the original Overmind was the size of a skysc

r and *it* had to create cerebrates to delegate authority to once the Swarm got too big. I can't imagine that 5'10" Kerrigan would be able to manage the entire Swarm better than the Overmind without significant help, no matter how powerful a psychic she is. [NT]

This is actually sort of why I thought the idea of Kerrigan killing all the Cerebrates was kind of a stupid plot point. Wouldn't she get really bored? [NT]

I kinda like the idea of her being crazy paranoid about anyone else who could possibly usurp her power-base to the point of basically eliminating all the controllers of the Swam and upgrading some of the grunts to be slightly more brainy but nowhere near the level where they could ever pose a threat. While she's all evil and

, she's actually the most insecure person in the sector.

It can be *my* story. That's an excellent characterization, and if I eliminate mention of the second cerebrate from Mission 7b here then it jives perfectly with what I've got planned. [NT]

It's kind of hinted at in Brood War already, when she's manipulating everyone to kill the new Overmind. A sort of manic focus on not being under anyone else's power again, ever, brought on by the trauma of what happened to her during the original game. [NT]

Well, the second cerebrate is superfluous anyway. The one they recovered could be the "last" cerebrate, sent out by Kerrigan to wipe out what was left of the UED after Brood War. [NT]

I'd like to write to a version where Terran environmentalists stop the extermination of the Zerg in order to preserve biodiversity and end up getting millions of people killed. Meanwhile the Protoss want to build a Templar Archives right next to the spot where a radical Templar hijacked a Terran Medic ship and crashed it into a Command Center and pwned many SCV's resulting in a "GG" for terrorism.
